On July 8, 2013, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) formally approved the founding of China Southern Airlines Henan Co.,Ltd.

CAAC issued a public notification for approving the establishment of China Southern Airlines Henan Co.,Ltd. on June 20, which lasted for one week. Now, the current publicity period has expired.

Since the beginning of the publicity, the preparation and future operation of China Southern Airlines Henan Co.,Ltd had attracted lots of domestic and international attention. The establishment marks the successful cooperation between HNCA and China Southern Airlines.

As a shareholder of China Southern Airlines Henan Co.,Ltd, HNCA will play a very important role in building the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Comprehensive Experimental Zone, developing provincial airlines economy, opening new air route, and increasing airline capacity.

According to the Public Notification, China Southern Airlines Henan Co.,Ltd is a joint venture invested together by HNCA and China Southern Airlines .The registered capital of the new company is RMB six billion. China Southern Airlines is mainly engaged in international and domestic air passenger and cargo transport services, airline services; HNCA, registered in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, is mainly engaged in civil aviation passenger and cargo transport, , aviation  logistics, trade, real estate, general aviation manufacturing, financial investment, , cultural tourism and other related industries.

According to "public notification", China Southern Airlines Henan Co.,Ltd will take Xinzheng International Airport in Zhengzhou as a base airport, and the B737-300 aircraft and 800 aircraft are to be employed for the future use. The business scope, containing domestic (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and international air passenger and cargo transportation services, is going to be approved. At the beginning of the organization of the company, the professional and technical personnel such as flight, maintenance, dispatch and cabin crew will be introduced from China Southern Airlines.

The approval of China Southern Airlines Henan Co.,Ltd is a great event for Henan aviation economy after the State Council approved the establishment of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Comprehensive Experimental Zone on March 7. It has a positive effect on opening up more airline routes for Zhengzhou and strengthening airline capacity. It will also further promote the openness of Henan to an international level, and boost the construction of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Comprehensive Experimental Zone.
